About Marci

A personal path
to becoming
a therapist.

My journey into this work isn't academic—it's deeply lived. I know what it feels like to struggle, and I bring that understanding into every session.

The journey that
brought me here

A winding, beautiful path through anxiety, yoga, New York, and Austin.

My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. I struggled with anxiety from a young age and grew up as a highly sensitive person (HSP), which often felt overwhelming. My own healing journey—especially through the guidance of my Zaidie, who was also a therapist—changed everything for me. I'll never forget sitting in his office at 13, feeling completely unlovable, and learning that I had the ability to change my brain, my thoughts, and ultimately my reality. That belief has stayed with me, and it's at the core of how I work today.

I grew up moving between New Jersey, Connecticut, and New Hampshire before heading to Pennsylvania to study psychology, and later to New York City for graduate school at Columbia University. While there, I deepened my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and discovered a strong interest in human sexuality. Around the same time, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Institute, which sparked my appreciation for the mind-body connection that continues to shape my work today.

During graduate school, I interned at Mountainside Treatment Center, which ultimately led me to Austin in 2019—trading cold winters for sunshine and a more connected, grounded way of living. Since then, I've worked at Omega Recovery, Austin Lakes Mental Health, and as a wellbeing coach at Meta, where I discovered my love for blending therapy with coaching to help people create real, lasting change.

Austin quickly became home. I'm drawn to the laid-back energy, authenticity, and the wellness-minded community. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me at Barton Springs or the Greenbelt, spending time outdoors, connecting with friends and family, or baking healthier treats. The beach and mountains are my favorite places, so I often travel when I can to visit new nature spots.

My
Approach

🌿
Somatic
We involve the body, where trauma lives.
💬
Honest & Accountable
Compassionate, not passive.
🧘
Experiential
Beyond the traditional "talk therapy" box.
🌱
Rooted in Hope
I believe in your capacity to change.

I'm not the kind of therapist who simply asks, "How does that make you feel?" and nods quietly while you talk through the entire session, disconnected from your body, only to send you on your way. That's not what you'll find here—so if that's what you're looking for, I'm probably not the right fit.

What you will get is honesty, accountability, and support delivered in a compassionate, approachable way. Together, we'll work to uncover and heal unresolved childhood wounds. This process includes a somatic element, meaning we involve the body—because that's where trauma is stored and where emotions are often felt as physical sensations.

It's also experiential, so we may step outside the traditional "talk therapy" box. At times, it might feel a little unconventional—you might find yourself in a yoga pose or connecting with your inner child. I promise, there's a purpose behind it all.

I've seen firsthand—both in my own life and in the lives of hundreds of clients—that change is possible. This work is incredibly meaningful to me, and I consider it a privilege to support you as you grow, heal, and step into your fullest potential. I truly believe in your capacity to change, and I can't wait to meet you.
